Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or a related field from an accredited college or university
• Registered Dietitian (RD) credential through the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics
• Licensed Dietitian (LD) in the State of Texas
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with physicians, staff, patients, and families
• Ability to comply with required immunizations, background screening, and onboarding requirements
• Successful completion of required drug screening and fingerprinting
• Ability to complete all required facility and state-mandated training
Responsibilities:
• Provide comprehensive nutrition services to patients in an inpatient setting
• Conduct nutritional assessments, consultations, education, and follow-up as assigned
• Analyze patient health status, dietary needs, goals, restrictions, and monitor nutritional progress
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary treatment teams to support individualized care plans
• Communicate nutrition-related recommendations to patients, families, and clinical staff
• Complete accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record
• Provide nutrition guidance and information to food service leadership as appropriate
• Ensure compliance with all applicable standards, policies, and procedures, including accrediting and regulatory requirements
• Maintain adherence to professional, ethical, and confidentiality standards
